6 Golden rules…

The past few months in 2007 have been nothing short of energy, excitement, results and fun at work and life !

I have had the honor of meeting several talented and enthusiastic professionals, young and old, who have inspired me, motivated me, challenged me, educated me….and most importantly touched me in a way that fuelled me to move forward with more energy, thoroughly enjoying my work and life. Thanking those, I have promised myself to share these experiences in the form of a flurry of blogs…

Here goes one on leadership, from one of my my recent readings of Jack Welch, ex CEO, GE.

6 Golden rules…

1. Control your destiny, or someone else will.

2. Face reality as it is, not as it was or as you wish it to be.

3. Be candid with everyone.

4. Don’t manage, lead.

5. Change before you have to.

6. If you don’t have a competitive advantage, don’t compete.
