Bio

  • An active serial entrepreneur, Educator, and researcher, Shailendra Tipparaju (Shailu) has a cross-industry footprint spanning over two decades. He has been a founding member of several Education Technology companies from concept to scale before sizable exits. A widely published author, Executive Educator, Technology researcher, media host and speaker, Shailu has been recognized as one of the top 100 Education pioneers in 2020. He is an active ambassador to UN sustainability development 17 goals applied in enterprises and works on education interoperability between academic and enterprise global councils such as IEEE, Academia, and 1Edtech.
  • Shailu is the Founder of Magna Education, a global school for Entrepreneurship.
    He is a Venture Partner at Emerge Education Ventures in Europe. He also serves as the Chairman of Chicago-based Colosseum Group, a global brand of companies that focuses on venture capital, education, and creative design brand and communications. He is also a Venture Partner at Dallas Venture Capital. Shailu has helped foster entrepreneurship by mentoring, investing, and advising over 50 startup enterprises globally. He has taught over 5000+ senior-level executives globally about strategy, innovation, culture, purpose, and communications.
  • Prior to his current roles, he was Founder-CTO at EdAssist (acquired by Bain Capital Bright Horizons in 2010), Founder-CTO Strateology (acquired by University Ventures in 2017), and Founder- CTO at Examity (acquired by Great Hill Partners in 2019). Between 2008 – 2013, he also led the Technology Innovation program at CVS Pharmacy, a Global Fortune 10 enterprise, heading implementations of shared services platforms.
  • His first stint started as an intern in 1999 at Xerox innovation group (then part of Motorola division) and he grew to lead several successful global engineering initiatives at Motorola, Delta Airlines, and GlaxoSmithKline. He was Xerox’s top-performing employee worldwide in 2005.
  • A widely published author and speaker, Shailu has been recognized as one of the top 100 Education pioneers in 2020 and is an active contributor to various standardized and certification councils in the Education domain. A patriot, artist, musician, educator, and a strong family man, Shailu believes in purposeful balanced living and compassionate capitalism. He heads up the Colosseum Foundation with a mission to create self-belief in individuals and guide the next generations to use entrepreneurship as a medium to build global ties, and showcase global patriotism to promote the spirit of intellectuality, hospitality, and spirituality universally.
  • A lifelong learner, Shailu has a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, a Master’s in Computer Science from Loyola University, Chicago, Business management program (for founders, business owners, and presidents) from Harvard Business School at Boston, and Executive Leadership Management program from University of Chicago Booth school of business.
  • He lives in Chicago with his wife and best friend of more than two decades, Sireesha Tipparaju, and his two super-hero sons, Dhanush and Ankush.
